WAFA graduate and Black Stars left-back, Gideon Mensah, made his long-awaited return to the pitch last Saturday, playing in AJ Auxerre’s 3-0 win against Brest in Ligue 1. Gideon was sidelined for 72 days due to injury, causing him to miss several crucial matches for the Ghanaian national team, the Black Stars.

Mensah played a key role in Auxerre’s promotion to Ligue 1 last season, and the club is optimistic that he can continue his strong form and contribute to their campaign this year.
